Will frontierism and the constant westward expansion of colonisation and extractivism continue into space? Coldrey links these questions to fast fashion in Fashion Beyond the Frontier through a surreal, space-mod runway set in an extraterrestrial world. Is the pick axe an accessory, and is space still sexy if we think about it for long enough? Yellow, kitsch and trickling with AI, she struts through the animation as a dazed model, absent-minded to the idea that her surroundings might not be as glamorous as they first seem.
